Famous Fortnite leaker Hypex has posted new teaser leaks for Chapter 4 Season 2, showcasing the game’s new cyberpunk theme.
According to Hypex, Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 2 is named “Mega.” Its logo, written in Japanese kana letters, took inspiration from Neo-Tokyo aesthetics. The teaser image shows a building with Cyberpunk 2077-reminiscent white and pink highlights and kanji characters written on the side.
In one of the teaser posters, the Japanese characters translate to the word “Downtown.” Observant players have also noticed a code written below the writing, which they later decoded to discover the word “Cypher.”
Players speculated that either word could be the season’s title or the upcoming Point of Interest (POI). However, Twitter users found that the platform applies a small logo next to the #FortniteMEGA hashtag. Logos on Twitter are usually reserved for official brand titles, suggesting that Mega is the title for the new season. The significance of Downtown and Cypher remains to be seen in the upcoming patch.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will release in several hours, with Season 1 ending on March 8. Information on the new season will likely come out in the next few days, but reliable leakers have already given a sneak peek at what players can expect. Notably, the leakers have also pointed to the release of an Attack on Titan collaboration in the upcoming season.
Maps, weapons, playstyles
Along with Hypex, Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR confirmed that gameplay changes were coming to the new season. Fortnite will finally allow players to use first-person combat, a change from the usual third-person playstyle. It will also feature “glowing mobility tubes” to slide and travel across the map.
The Japanese-style Lucky Landing POI will also return after being temporarily removed. The POI also seems to have been updated after it was sucked into a black hole during the Season 10 “The End” event.
Additionally, the upcoming season will add new weapons for players, including a new pistol and a shotgun. Fans speculate that the Grappler and the highly-anticipated Pump Shotgun may finally arrive in the new season.
A handful of notable skins will also appear in the new Battlepass, including a Drift skin with an unmasked style. These skins also introduce some of the most exciting collaborations yet.
Attack on Titan and other collaborations
As mentioned above, the new season will introduce Fortnite’s latest Attack on Titan collaboration, with players getting the opportunity to play the anti-heroic protagonist Eren Yeager.
The skin will feature Eren in his early design in the first seasons of the anime, though a mid-season or late-season design may give the skin his iconic Titan look. He will also have a Scout Regime Salute and a “Waist Grappler” Mythic weapon inspired by the anime.

Resident Evil will also make a reappearance in the new season. Household staple characters from the horror series, Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, will be featured in the item shop.
These new editions come after October 2021’s Resident Evil collaboration, when the game brought in Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine as character skins.
Leakers have also confirmed a Star Wars collaboration in the upcoming season. Like Resident Evil, Fortnite has featured the Star Wars franchise before, hosting interesting skins from the newest movies like John Boyega’s Finn and Daisy Ridley’s Rey.
